This Sugar & Sweets Mini Quilt Pattern was inspired by a bowl of wrapped candy. When I was young and we visited my grandma's house, she always had a full bowl of colorfully wrapped candies on her coffee table. My sister and I were allowed to help ourselves to as many as we wanted, and enjoyed unwrapping them to reveal the surprise candy inside! We often ate the whole bowl in one afternoon visit!
The Sugar & Sweet Mini Quilt was designed to have a scrappy, fresh feel. It finishes at 18" x 18" so is also the PERFECT size for a pillow!
I used the wonderfully bright and fun Rainbowfruit Fabric by Damask Love for Riley Blake Designs. I always love a good stripe for binding and I adore the diagonal rainbow print in this collection, so I used this print for the binding and for parts of my blocks. Just look at the wonderful tossed fruit prints and a sprinkle print that inspired me to create a FREE Donut Tutorial!
