Crashing Waves

“The breaking of a wave cannot explain the whole sea.” – Vladimir Nabokov

My family and I live in rural, prairie Canada, and we are about as prairie as prairie can be. Wide open sky, lots of space to breathe and really no water in sight..lol. So this old farm shed will be the backdrop for this Ocean Waves quilt!

This is a modern, scrappy twist on a classic quilt block and you can make one too! I wrote the Ocean Waves quilt pattern as a FREE Pattern on the Paintbrush Studio website to showcase The Tiny Garden's Fisherman's Village fabric line.

The fabric is filled will wonderful seaside motifs of lighthouses, and skittling crabs, fish and sea anchors.... The soft color palette reminds me of sea foam on a warm, sunny day.

If you make your own Ocean Waves quilt, please tag me @beesewinspired so I can share and tag you back!

So in the meantime while we wait for the go ahead to travel again, I will stay home and sew and sometimes dream of seeing the ocean again one day soon!...
