For this doll and quilt set, I used Amanda Niederhauser of Jedit Craft Girl's Mod Meow fabrics from Riley Blake Designs. I LOVE that she used vintage pyrex as the inspiration for the the colors in this fabric line! They are sooo yummy! Amanda is a beautiful quilter herself and so she really understands how to design fabrics that will make your projects shine! I love how rich her colors are and how she plays with the shades within a color palette. I used a RBD Basic called Texture for the kitty's main body. It really does appear to have "texture" and works so perfectly for animal doll skin - with all the benefits of a woven cotton!

When I was taking photographs of these sweet projects, my youngest daughter's cat - Gandolph - kept photo bombing the photo shoot! He is NOT a curious cat and was not coming to investigate what I was doing... lol... he was coming to be hugged! He is such an affectionate cat and besides food, snuggles are his number one priority in life!
