Sweet Dreams Little One

When you think of a peaceful sleep, do you imagine hugging a teddy bear under a star-lit sky in a cozy sleeping bag?

If you answered "Yes" to any of that imagery, keep reading.... you are going to love this week's Tutorial and newest Sewing Doll Pattern release!

It all starts off with some inspirational, outdoors-y fabrics! This new fabric line by Dani Mogstad for Riley Blake Designs has the perfect name, "Adventure is Calling". It is full of wonderful creatures and forest trees and tee pees. My favorite print would have to be the Stargazing Constellation print. Isn't is so smart?

Today is the release day for the NEW Sewing & Hand Embroidery Bear Doll Pattern! I used the brown tone-on-tone tree print for my Bear Doll's fur. It gives such a beautiful, appearance of texture to the bear doll, with the ease and pleasure of working with quilting cottons. I made his accents in his ears and muzzle out of the khaki star gazing print. I used two contrasting fabrics to make a simple cuffed, pair of shorts for him and he is ready to go on an adventure!

If you are looking for a fast and easy summer project to make with your children or grandchildren, this FREE Simple Doll Sleeping Bag Tutorial might just be the project you have been looking for! It is a great way to show off these fun prints and can be made in ANY size - for dolls, teddy bears, or your child's favorite snuggly! You can read the tutorial HERE or head over to my YouTube Channel to watch the 5 min video tutorial on how to bind this partly open sleeping bag with ease.

I hope you are inspired to make a forest friend or two - complete with a sleeping bag - for a memorable camping trip under the star!
